FAQ

Where do you ship?
Currently, I only ship to the US and Canada for items purchased through this shop. If you request a custom order, we can discuss shipping to other locations such as South America.
I use USPS shipping, either First Class or Priority, depending on the amount of items and the destination. You should receive a tracking number by email once the item has been shipped, but you can contact me if this does not happen and I'm happy to follow up.

When do you ship out items?
Most items will ship the following Saturday after the order is placed. Occasionally, if my schedule permits, I will ship on a weekday.
In the case of Pre-Orders, the item listing will give a general time frame of 3-4 weeks before it can be shipped. This takes into account any fabric that needs to be sourced and printed, the time it takes to actually sew the items, and then shipping from me to you.

How much does shipping cost?
For the US: most items are $5 when shipped alone, then another $2 each if additional items are shipped together.
Some larger items may come with their own unique shipping costs due to their size.

For Canada: Shipping is $12 no matter how many items are included.

I also offer a "Local Pickup" option for customers who live in Chattanooga TN where shipping is free, and we can arrange a time and place to meet via email.

What Payment methods do you accept?
At this time, my shop accepts both PayPal, and credit cards via Stripe.
Taxes for customers in the US will be calculated at checkout.

Are your items Handmade?
Yes, I sew everything that you see here with both my sewing machine and by hand as needed. Accessories are purchased from other small businesses when possible, or from larger craft stores like Joanns Fabric or Michaels - I do not support Hobby Lobby. Some of the fabric that I use comes from Spoonflower, a print on demand service where artists upload their designs for use  in crafting and they receive some money in return.

How do I care for these items?
Most of my bags should only be spot washed by hand and left to air dry.
If your bag develops wrinkles, you can gently iron it on a low setting.
I do not recommend machine washing - contact me to discuss.
Items like dolls and plushies should also be spot washed very carefully.

Is your stuff original?
Many items that I sew are made from patterns that I have purchased, and you should see this reflected in the item descriptions. I ensure that all patterns are allowed for use in selling on a handmade level, per the pattern creator's wishes. Some items are original designs made by me!

Why are some items so expensive?
Every artist has their own method to determine price. For me, I take into account several things, including: the cost of fabric, the cost of my machines and other supplies, my time and effort, the years I have spent learning this craft, the cost of shipping, etc. I try to keep a variety of items in my shop at different prices so there should be some affordable things to buy at any given time. This isn't my full time job (yet!) but I do need to make a profit off my work in order to keep making things that I love.

Do you accept Returns?
I handle this on a case by case basis. In general, if the item arrives damaged, then I am happy to help arrange to have it shipped back to me for repairs or replacement if possible. In situations where a customer is simply unhappy with what they have purchased, I will consider a return and partial refund so that the item can hopefully be sold to another customer who will appreciate it. If you want to discuss these options after a purchase, please contact me by email within 30 days and I reserve the right to refuse if I feel that you are being disingenuous.

What kind of fabric do you use?
In general, much of the fabric used for my bags is made from cotton or canvas material. Some items may be synthetic polyester blends, such as scarves. I use natural cork fabrics, and faux furs and faux and real leathers as well. The felts used in some dolls and accessories are made from wool, or wool blends. If you have any concerns about allergies, please reach out to me via email to chat about it.
