Mini Macaron Zipper Containers

These little tiny items are just the cutest things in my shop! Each one is a mini zipper container, meaning it can open up and you can put very small items inside, such as earrings or other petite jewelry, a few coins, clips for sewing, etc. They are meant to resemble the dessert item Macarons, which are like little sandwiches with filling in the middle, and they fit in the palm of your hand.

Each one measures just a little over 2 inches wide, and about 1 or 2 inches tall, depending on the design. They are entirely handsewn, and it takes several hours to complete one at a time.

The macarons are made from cotton fabric, on the inside and out, plus a metal zipper and there are metal discs inside to give the item structure and to hold its shape.

The pattern for these is actually called the "Mini Macaroon Pouch" by Zakka Workshop - it is common for people to mix up Macaron and Macaroon, both are dessert items and are pronounced in a similar way.
